This frame has everything we were looking for in a guest bed: easy to set up, equally easy to pack up and store, good height, and sturdy. This frame combined with a Milliard tri-fold mattress provides our guests with a super comfy bed (they said they had no clue that they were sleeping on cardboard) and it provides us with space-saving solutions.

Both the frame and the mattress fit under our own bed and in our closets, so it’s completely hidden and doesn’t take up any floor space when not in use.

Super Comfortable and Easy to Setup!

Great easy setup and super sturdy, makes no noise, doesn’t move and is super comfortable. Real happy with it. Definitely worth it!

Met all expectations

Only used it two weeks so far but no regrets! Wanted something inexpensive. Was looking at second hand frames for environmental impact, as i won't be using it for long. But, I also needed to move into an apartment on level six with no working elevator.

It arrived two days early, I could carry it up six flights of stairs easily alone, set it up in 20mins. It looks awesome, knowing it will be easy to store when I move again in six months is huge peace of mind.

My advice if you are setting it up alone, and are stressed about getting the mattress up onto it: I lined up it's box alongside the bed. I then lifted the mattress first up onto the box, then could tip it over on top without stress. I also used the box as a ruler to straighten up the sides.

I accidentally dropped my mattress hard (while it was standing upright) onto on the very corner of the frame while shifting things around, which creased two pieces. Totally my own fault for trying to do something fast instead of smart - its hardly noticeable and feels structurally fine. Next time I set it up again I'll just flip it around!

The only inconvenience I have felt is that if I want to rearrange my room, or even move the bed over a little bit, you can't just drag it along the floor with your mattress/bedding still there. Still worth it considering if I want to change my bed size I can do it without buying a fully new product!

You do you! And you can have faith that the Yona bed is up for any challenge. We have tested our bed with every situation imaginable – and we mean every situation. Trust us - whatever you throw at the Yona bed, it can take it!

We’re confident that the Yona bed can stand up to anything, so much so that if you do manage to do any damage to the bed with anything that can be loosely considered any sort of ‘bed time activity’, we will cover it with our 5 year warranty, all at our cost. We’ve got you covered.

Which mattresses can I use with the Yona bed?

Most regular mattresses that you buy in store or online are supported. Foam, spring, hybrid - no problems.

Heavy mattress are absolutely no problem either, Yona beds can hold thousands of kilograms!

We do support most specialty or custom-made mattresses, but please reach out to us over live chat or at hello@yona.co.nz to confirm before purchasing.

Can I pack away & put out my Yona bed on a frequent basis, e.g. to use as a spare bed?

100%! While most customers use their Yona as their permanent bed, it can also be used as a spare.

Our beds are designed to be packed away very quickly when you don't need them, and set back up again when you do. Some of our customers even do this every day!

Additionally, due to the minimalist design, it takes up very little room when packed away.
